The National Indigenous Accreditation Board (NIAB) serves as an independent body through which members work cooperatively to ensure that education programs and institutions embody and are grounded within local Indigenous knowledge systems.

Embodying Sovereignty

The National Indigenous Accreditation Board is committed to using local Indigenous knowledges, ceremonies, and languages to guide and express our approaches to the accreditation of education programs and institutions.

“We celebrate
the diversity of our ways as a source of strength within our nations, and as the wellspring of respect between our nations. . .
Thus, in diversity, we find unity: unity of mind, unity of purpose, and unity of practice.”
